Marine Engineer

Marine Engineer required for my client based near to Maidenhead, Berkshire.

The marine engineering company are looking for a marine engineer with river mechanic experience, to perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance to boats, engines and associated equipment, on and off site.

Reporting to the Marine Engineer - Supervisor.

Marine Engineer Position Overview

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to boats, engines and associated equipment.
• Order replacement parts, consult and review schematics.
• Determine causes of operating problems.
• To service and repair marine engines and associated mechanical equipment in customers boats.
• To service and repair industrial engines.
• The service and repair of on-board auxiliary systems.
• To pressure wash & cleaning hulls and topsides of customers' boats.
• Assisting with the craning of boats into and out of the water.
• Maintain familiarity with current product lines and features.

Marine Engineer Position Requirements

• Previous mechanical engineering experience essential.
• Previous marine experience is an advantage.
• Previous river mechanics experience.
• Based within a commutable distance of Maidenhead, Berkshire.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Volvo Penta approval is very beneficial.

Marine Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £32,000 to £36,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
• Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
• Holiday package - 20 days plus bank holidays.
