The Opportunity Due to exciting business growth, MBDA has a wide range of opportunities in our Manufacturing Test team across Operations and Engineering over the next 12 months. We have roles from Test Operators through to Principal Test Engineers and everything in-between. If you have qualifications and experience in electronic/electrical test we would be interested in you submitting your CV. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Running automated test site (Operator)
  • Performing manual test (Operator/Technician)
  • Proofreading test instructions (Technicians)
  • Authoring test instructions (Engineers)
  • Diagnosing product faults (Engineers)
  • Integrating new products into manufacturing (Principal Engineers)
What we're looking for from you… Essential:
  • Qualifications in a STEM subject and/or an apprenticeship (as each role has different requirements please ensure your qualifications are present on your CV/covering letter).
  • Experience of using both manual and automated test equipment.
  • A good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and knowing when to employ which.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Role Dependent:
  • Knowledge of fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Familiar with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports and concessions.
  • The ability to plan and organise own work in order to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against Project objectives.
  • Experience in generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports based on higher-level requirements.
