We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our client's Operations team. In this role, you will contribute to the assembly and testing of instruments, involving lasers, electro-optics systems, and high-spec video cameras. Successful candidates will possess strong assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for fostering positive working relationships with colleagues.

As Manufacturing Technician responsibilities include:

  • Assembly and testing of instruments, following detailed work instructions and test routines.
  • Involvement in all stages of operations and manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration with bills of material, part procurement, and stock management for effective planning and execution of operations activities.
  • Documenting protocols, in-process results, and tracking key performance metrics.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant industrial operations experience.
  • Laboratory experience with personal protective equipment, lasers, and optics handling.
  • Assembly of electronic subsystems, including fault-finding
  • Experience with high-precision parts assembly, optics handling, and laser use.
  • Some experience in testing high-technology equipment before shipping.
