A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join a very successful engineering company on a permanent basis. You will be assisting the Manufacturing Manager with regards to production, quality, cost, delivery, technical and HR.

Working a 40 hour week, Monday-Friday. 07.00-15.00 plus overtime.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of people within production, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements. Ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.

Your key duties will include:

  • Leading the team to achieve company quality standards
  • Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored and targets achieved.
  • Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.
  • Through the utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basis

Experience/Qualifications

  • ONC, City & Guilds level 3, BTech National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
  • Professional (or working towards) accreditation with an industry related body.
  • Proven track record within manufacturing management
  • Ability to design processes and layouts
  • Experienced with a number of systems, expert in at least one area and working knowledge of a number of other areas of specialisation
  • Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.

£17.00 per hour plus overtime.
