We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Shift Manager (Nightshift) for one of our clients based in Milton Keynes a global manufacturing company

Duties & scope of the role:

  • Manage team and site on the night shift
  • Control and ensure site KPI's are met including cost and delivery
  • Adhering to customers service level agreements
  • Continuous improvement
  • Improve production yields and reducing unnecessary processes
  • Implementation of lean manufacturing & 5S
  • Working closely with other Shift Managers
  • Co-co-ordinating training and managing labour
  • Measuring/collating of statistics and reporting
  • Health, safety and environmental awareness ensuring all factors monitored on shift
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance, appraisals
  • We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and attributes:
  • Previous experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment FMCG

Excellent knowledge of the Lean principles

  • IOSH or NEBOSH
  • Manufacturing/Engineering Degree (preferred)
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification

Shift pattern:

18.00-06.00 3 shifts per week Sunday/Monday/Tuesday for 4 weeks & Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (Saturdays on a rota during peak period)
