Manufacturing Engineer - Desford, Leicestershire (4 days onsite/1 remote) - Up to £32/hr - Inside IR35 - 12 month initial

In your first few weeks in this Manufacturing Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes.
• Conduct concurrent product and process design in line with current product improvement programmes, review design for manufacturability, assess and mitigate process risks
• Engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues, including ergonomic safety, quality concerns and efficiency improvements
• Work with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation, and systems application

To apply for this Manufacturing Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, manufacturing change management, technology development and facility planning
• Demonstrated project management skills or contribution to the delivery of complex projects both through technology and scale
• Experience developing manufacturing standards and procedures and collaborating with other teams to agree on joint standards
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to bring problems to a successful resolution
• Experience with budget management and/or capital project delivery
