Michael Page are supporting an exciting manufacturing business who supply into highly regulated sectors in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer. They are looking for someone with a hands on attitude on projects such as process improvement, tooling and LEAN methodologies.

Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Liverpool and are experts in their field supplying mechanical and electrical equipment into the Defence industry and supporting some of the biggest names in this sector.

They are recognised for their commitment to innovation, progression and key understanding of the market they function within.

They are experiencing exponential growth within the business and are seeing turnover increasing year on year as a result.

Description

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the following;

  • Creating and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules for key manufacturing equipment.
  • Creating SOP's for designated processes.
  • Engaging in creative problem solving to address operational issues including ergonomic / safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns.
  • Providing reactive breakdown support in a busy process and production machinery environment.
  • Implement 5S initiatives across site as required.
  • Provide cover for Senior Manufacturing Engineer as and when required.
  • Work effectively with all MPE departments, as necessary.
  • Identify or design jigs/tools and fixtures to aid production.
  • Maintain records as required for all activities,
  • Manage key Capex projects liaising with all key stakeholders.
  • Empowered to identify opportunities for improvement and challenge current processes and procedures.

Profile

As Manufacturing Engineer you should have:

  • HNC/Equivalent or minimum or 5 years experience within Mechanical Engineering
  • A solid understanding of continuous improvement & LEAN methodologies
  • A background within one or more of the following fields; Assembly, Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to find solutions to problems and implement positive changes
  • Comfortable implementing CAPEX projects

Job Offer

  • £32,000 - £35,000
