C4S Search are pleased to be working with an aircraft manufacturing company.
THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY:
- Enabling the Structures Manufacturing Engineering community to progress to the next level, a requirement has emerged for a highly competent Assembly Specialist.
- Serve as the central point of expertise onsite for Assembly processes.
- Enhance the efficiency of current production methods by identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Quality departments to develop, execute, and uphold assembly processes for crafting large aircraft nacelle structures.
- Establish world-class, financially sustainable assembly processes, ranging from fully-automated to manual, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Effectively mitigate assembly process risks related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), capability, capacity, and financial aspects.
- Implement robust process planning to support manufacturing across multiple assembly lines, accommodating various production constraints including rate and Takt time.
- Define, implement, and maintain proficient processes, validated through Statistical Process Control (SPC) application.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience, or alternatively, demonstrate at least 10 years of industry expertise without formal degree education.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA v5.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.
- Comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause and Correct Action (RCCA) methods.
- Embrace a data-driven mindset to decision-making processes.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts in easily understandable terms.
- Strike a balance between confidence and humility, showcasing introspection.
- Preferably experienced in Lean Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with APQP and PPAP methods and documents is advantageous.
- Desirable to possess specific knowledge of aircraft nacelle components and structures.
- Background in Tooling and Fixtures, encompassing construction and/or inspection experience.
