Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their new collaboration with an expansive organisation in the non-for-profit sector. The organisation are a trailblazer in their sector and have really set the standard for the rest of their industry in the West Midlands. They have expanded well in recent years, increasing the number of branches under their umbrella and are now looking for a talented Management Accountant to join their team in Birmingham. This business really cares about their staff and their work-life balance and offers a hybrid working style. One aspect of the role will be travelling short distances to their other sites, there will be reimbursements but this does mean having a full driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The organisation really strives to be one of the strongest in their industry, they look after a number of different branches and yet have still maintained a high quality of service and experience for all of their stakeholders. As a Management Accountant, you will be producing the Management Accounts for a group of subsidiaries. This will include posting journals such as accruals and prepayments, completing reconciliation's on both the bank and balance sheet, and working on the P&L. You will also be involved with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including having 1-2-1 meetings with budget holders to discuss their financial health in a manner which they can understand. This opportunity is a brilliant chance for an individual with existing budgeting and forecasting experience, to take a step up and work for a fantastic organisation. Skills Required
  • To have existing experience being directly involved in the budgeting and forecasting process, potentially even producing the budget yourself and being involved in budgeting meetings with various stakeholders.
  • To have experience being heavily involved in month end responsibilities, from posting journals and completing reconciliation's, to potentially even adding a comprehensive commentary to your findings and presenting to senior management.
  • To ideally have experience either working in the non-for-profit or public sector industry.
  • To be confident and charismatic, you will be having regular meetings with different individuals, and it is important to have prior experience completing these responsibilities.
