Axon Moore are excited to be working with a leading global manufacturing business based in Newbury to recruit a stand along Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. 

Due to continued growth of this particular site, this exciting role will take full responsibility of the Management Accounts for the division whilst working side by side with the Site Director and  reporting into an off-site Financial Controller.

The Role:
  • Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentary
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved
  • Controlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliations
  • Monitoring projects for compliance
  • Assisting with inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock counts
  • Monitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management team
  • Analysis of Sales and orders
  • Operational excellence reporting and control – MWC, DSO etc.
  • Margin analysis and 80/20 quad analysis
  • Assisting in the preparation of the weekly 80/20 reports
  • Approving RFQ’s and orders and working with the business team to ensure quote margins meet business plans.
  • Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awareness
  • Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results
  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Various ad hoc tasks
The candidate:
  • CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths or equivalent experience
  • Experience and understanding of Manufacturing environments, would be ideal, but not essential
  • Excellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior level
  • A continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills
  • Able to work autonomously
