Management Accountant

Are you a Management Accountant currently on a contract coming to an end or immediately available to start a role in the next few weeks?. A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a growing SME they requires an experienced Management Accountant for 6 month fixed term contract. This role has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate. The role reports to the Financial Controller and will oversee a small finance team.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to prepare the Management Accounts and also support, control and manage the businesses finances.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Preparation of Management Accounts with detail analysis

• Preparation of year end of year accounts

• Team management

• VAT Returns

• Accruals/Prepayments

• Fixed Asset Register

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Weekly cashflow preparation

• Assistance and involvement with any ad-hoc reporting as required

• Liaising with other departments including operations as required

The successful candidate should be experienced in Management Accounts AAT Qualified or studying and have already worked in an SME environment preferably with knowledge of Xero and competent on Excel.

• £35,000 -£42,000 per annum DOE

Hours are 37.5 hours per week and flexibility to work at home one day per week. Applicants should be available to start within two weeks to enable effective handover.
