An exciting position has opened up for a diligent Management Accountant ready to work in a busy environment. The role is based in Luton and requires a candidate with a strong background in Accounting & Finance.

Description

Management Accountant

• Preparing monthly management accounts and reports
• Overseeing the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
• Working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Implementing and maintaining financial controls and processes
• Responsible for full P&L and BS, liaising with local accountants re: payroll and tax and posting relevant entries.
• Providing insight and variance analysis on monthly P&L submissions for multiple entities.
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Ad hoc financial projects as required

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• Actively studying towards CIMA or ACCA
• Experience working within a retail or similar industry
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
