Management Accountant

Based Letchworth, Hertfordshire our award-winning client are looking for an aspiring Management Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis after successful training and induction.

This job would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified accountant who is mid studies or close to becoming finalist, to play a crucial role in providing a high quality, professional and responsive financial analysis, insight and decision-making support service to the business.

The successful individual will have proven experience within a finance team with a proven track record in a high growth environment. They will have experience of creating accurate and timely reports, with the ability to effectively interrogate and summarise data to produce business insights. This candidate will be able to demonstrate a logical and analytical approach, with an excellent level of numeracy. Excellent communication and influential skills are a must, with the ability to build and positive relationships at all levels. Advanced Excels and experience of financial systems are essential.

Job responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and posting of allocation journals to the general Ledger
• Maintain cost centre profit and loss account for operations and support budget owners in review and management of data.
• Ensure timely and precise reporting of monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis
• Ensure consistent, precise and timely accounting procedures are adhered to throughout the operation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Support and assist with annual internal and external auditing
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for review
• Assist in the production and distribution of standard finance reports
