Management Accountant

The Management Accountant role requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting and finance ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be overseeing the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing sound financial practices. Description

· Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts

· Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.

· Provide financial forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

· Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.

· Implement effective cash management strategies and optimise working capital.

· Prepare weekly performance reports from standard costing system information.

· Review and maintain standard costs.

· Review internal control processes to safeguard company assets.

· Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

· Work with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns.

· Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.

· Lead and develop the local finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

· Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role in a manufacturing business

· Proficiency in ERP systems and knowledge of financial software.

· Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

· Proficiency in MS Office and finance software

· Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills

· Strong communication and presentation skills
