Medlock Partners are partnering with a very progressive tech business who have seen year on year growth. The Management Accountant will be responsible for accurate and timely monthly management accounts. The incumbent holds responsibility for local tax and reporting compliance for the Services company in Netherlands. The role will be very hands on, getting involved in the detail. There is an opportunity to develop into a Finance Manager role in the future. (Some monthly European travel will be required).

Key responsibilities for the Management Accountant:
  • Preparation and responsibility of monthly management accounts
  • Monthly EC sales, dispatches, and arrivals declarations
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Year-end accounts and audit
  • Cashflow reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Business line Gross Margin and profitability analysis
  • Lead on finance initiatives to improve consistency and efficiency of financial reporting
  • Credit control duties
  • Ad-hoc projects and duties
Key requirements of the Management Accountant:
  • Extensive track-record and experience in an accountant or similar position.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE
  • Local and European tax, reporting and compliance knowledge.
  • Business level of fluency in English.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Exact, PowerBI and Netsuite experience will be advantageous.
  • Must be highly organised and able to be flexible at month end, yearend and budget timing.
  • Pro-active with tasks and hands on.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on his/her own, as well as with an International team.
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Resilient and able to manage and embrace ‘change’ in a constructive manner.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
