Management Accountant

Your new company
I am working with a very successful company who is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team and support the business in financial and management accounts for one of their sites. This role has got a defined progression path with an opportunity for promotion within 12 months.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will support the Assistant Financial Controller by providing key financial data to aid the management team in decision-making. You will support forecasting, budgeting, month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and audit. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly operating costs, capital reports and forecast management.
• Reviewing reports to identify and highlight drivers of performance and reasons for any changes.
• Supporting the budget and forecasting process within the business, including modelling, analysis, reporting and submission.
• Following established processes to analyse financial information, applying technical experience, precedents and judgement.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and year-end accounting and control requirements to complement statutory accounts.
• Preparing VAT returns.
• Preparing cash-flow forecasting.
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally a CIMA or ACCA qualified/finalist or part-qualified active student.
