Management Accountant

My client, a growing FMCG based in Central London are recruiting a pro-active and flexible Management Accountant to join their Finance department and support the growth of the group.

This new position will report to the Finance Director, work in close relation with the accounting assistants. The management accountant will interact closely with various departments across the company.

This key appointment will be ensuring that a robust financial and commercial control environment is maintained, whilst also driving financial and commercial value within the business.

Key Duties

• To build and maintain closer relationships with key clients ensuring greater understanding of financial systems and the resolution of any problems swiftly and amicably.

• Oversight of the general ledger and UK GAAP

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals

• Intercompany reconciliations

• Support preparing Month-end reporting package and budget/reforecast processes

• Deal with Audit requests

• Supporting in Inventory reconciliation

• Review and Submission of payments run

• Ensure all customers are invoiced in due time

• Cash collection

• Review of A/P invoices booked in the system (GL, coding, analytics,,…)

• Payment review

• Validation of raised POs (fixed assets, from an accounting perspective)

• Fixed asset management (FA register, capitalization, depreciation,…)

• Future Planning and Analysis

• Supporting the FP&A manager with ad hoc queries/ reporting

Requirements

• Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or Finalist
• Strong excel skills
• Commercial mind-set
