We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Management Accountant. This role requires a professional who can handle a diverse range of accounting and financial tasks, and contribute to the ongoing development of the finance team.

Description

The Role:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage and mentor members of the finance team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Provide financial insights to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Support with audit requirements.
  • Inventory management.
  • Post payroll journals.

Profile

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Have or studying towards a formal accounting qualification, or QBE.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A thorough understanding of financial regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience in the Life Science industry would be highly advantageous.

Job Offer

  • Salary: £35k - £45,000 per annum (more for the right candidate)
