Management Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are seeking a Management Accountant for a growing organisation based in Newport.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for reporting for one of the divisions:

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and month end general ledger and trial balance for review.
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Maintenance of the general ledger, including posting of journals, maintenance of prepayments, accruals and deferred income schedules. Resolution of any issues to ensure records remain accurate
• Manage Sales, WIP, Invoicing, Credit Control and Revenue recognition and maintain completeness and integrity of contract manager data. Prepare customer invoices in line with contracted terms.
• Preparation of Management Information and Analysis as required. Assist with budget queries and comparison of actual costs with budget
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation
• Assist on VAT and Tax returns
• Deal with and respond to customer and vendor queries in a prompt and timely manner
• Assist with the annual audit, local audit and statutory accounts
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management
• Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment

On offer:

Salary of £52,000 plus bonus, pension and flexible benefits. Hybrid working - two days in the office minimum.
