What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department and management team. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, maintaining the fixed asset register, reconciling monthly movements of policies and supporting with various accounting procedures. You will also be involved in preparing quarterly VAT return reports, supporting statutory audit requests, undertaking variance analysis, and providing support with transactional finance functions. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Assist in the production of monthly management accounts within agreed timescales
Maintain the fixed asset register and post journals from policy software onto accounting software
Reconcile monthly movement of policies and intercompany imbalances, investigating any variances
Support with the implementation of accounting procedures and monthly balance sheet controls
Produce quarterly VAT return reports and workings in preparation for completion by Management Accountant
Support the Management Accountant with statutory audit requests
Undertake variance analysis and support with transactional finance functions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position is someone who is studying towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE with Management Accounts experience. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial, as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, flexibility in the face of new challenges, and the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines are also key attributes for this role.

QBE or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
