We are currently seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a dynamic team. Our company is a 100% independently owned international music merchandise business based in London. Entirely self-funded, we offer a range of services including Creative & Design, Production and Fulfilment (Global), E-Commerce and distribution of apparel, memorabilia, vinyl & CD’s, bespoke white label E-Commerce services, and Global tour support.
About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, managing financial transactions, preparing statements, and ensuring reporting accuracy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company that has experienced strong growth over the last 4-5 years and continues on an upward trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze financial information for internal use.
- Support budgeting and reporting activities.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process financial transactions efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
- Evaluate company performance and provide insights.
- Assist in forecasting and business planning.
- Identify process challenges and propose improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent understanding of cost accounting and reporting.
- Familiarity with financial software such as Excel and Xero or other accountancy platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to work independently.
- Relevant experience and qualifications preferred.
- Meticulously detail-oriented.
- Analytical thinker with robust problem-solving skills.
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- Professionalism underscored by strong ethics and integrity.
- A lover of music.
While experience in the merchandise or music industry is not essential, it would be advantageous.
