Absolute is delighted to have partnered with an international luxury retail business who are recruiting an Accountant for their US entity. This entrepreneurial business has seen continuous year-on-year growth and is now looking to expand its team with an ambitious and dynamic Accountant with experience in US GAAP and US Tax.
  
The company has a great culture, offers hybrid working and this role has the option of being based in the office in London or New York
 
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be the lead Accountant for the US entity and will oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulations.
  • Preparing management accounts for the US entity
  • Managing the General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported in the ERP system
  • Facilitating supplier and overhead payments
  • Preparing monthly financial statements, including necessary adjustments and reconciliations
  • Preparing year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors
  • Oversee monthly payroll for entity in compliance with US regulations
  • Coordinating cash flow management
  • Handling monthly sales tax returns and ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
  • Support with FP&A including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Developing business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
  • Assisting CFO with French entity-specific queries
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant / Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Detailed knowledge of US taxation and US GAAP
  • Practical understanding of management accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting packages, preferably ERP Business Central
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
