Management Accountant (6 Month Contract)

JOB TITLE: Management Accountant

SALARY: £45K

LOCATION: Chessington

OVERVIEW

The Management Accountant EMEA will report directly to the Finance Controller, EMEA based in our clients UK office. The role will work closely with the EMEA sales team, as well as with US Finance team. This role offers a lot of opportunity as the finance team will be growing in the next 1-2 years.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Month end reporting and related activities • Month end journals creation and review • Preparing month end balance sheet account reconciliations • Monthly Sales reporting to external partners and maintenance of external sale reporting master data • Monitoring of customer contract terms and contributions • VAT return and intrastat report preparation. Weekly cash flow input preparation including reporting on key balance sheet KPI’s, such as debtor, creditor days and inventory turnover • Non-customer and vendor cash entries weekly • Support the Finance Controller with quarterly reporting queries • Support for Capex projects and fixed asset reporting • Support on local pricing review inputs - e.g. competitor analysis • Product and price extension support - validation and review • Any other ad hoc tasks TECHNICAL

COMPETENCIES

Highly proficient in computing skills including Microsoft Excel and Word • Good analytical skills with a high level of numeracy and attention to detail • Strong communication and prioritisation skills • Work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently, use initiative and escalate when applicable

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

2+ years’ experience of financial accounting and reporting, must have month end reporting experience • Qualified, Part-qualified or actively working towards a relevant accounting qualification • GCSE Level Maths and English • Experience working in a FMCG / retail environment with • SAP experience preferred (S/4 Hana) • Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment is an advantage If your experience is close to what we’re looking for, please consider applying.
