Our client a leading Construction company based in Dartford is seeking a Management Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience within a similar Management accountant position.

This is a full-time permanent position, based in the Dartford head office.

Responsibilities and Key Activities for this Role

  • Finalising monthly/quarterly Management Accounts and preparing the reporting pack for the parent company, including reporting.
  • Qualified or part-qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA
  • Preparation of monthly Financial Reporting pack, including variance analysis, Cash Flow and Profit and Loss forecast to the Company directors.
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts and liaising with the company auditors.
  • Attending monthly department meetings with three departments to discuss various financial/commercial matters.
  • Preparation of annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Responsible for the management of central processes and systems and getting the best deals for various business functions.
  • Oversee, manage, and support the development of the accounts team (1 AR, 1AP, 1 Accounts Manager).
  • Dealing with the company’s various tax matters, including CIS, VAT, and Corporation Tax, P11D and overseeing all HMRC deadlines and correspondence.
  • Negotiating financial terms with suppliers and customers in line with department heads.
  • Manage payroll process.
  • Overseeing the HR function and employee correspondence.
  • Office management.

Skills and Experience

  • The ideal candidate would have prior Management accountant experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure maintaining tight deadlines, high concentration levels and keeping up with workflow requirements.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook are minimum requirements, as well as SAGE and company database following training.
  • Good organisation and ability to prioritise.
  • Good Communication Skills. Ability to communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in managing multiple suppliers and vendors.
  • Accounting and number-focused for accuracy.
  • Experiance of JSOX reporting desirable
  • Confidentiality
  • Experience working in the Construction, engineering, or facilities sector is desirable.
