Location: Waterloo Manor Hospital, Leeds, Garforth, Selby Road, LS25 1NA

Rate Of Pay: £11.44 per hour

Shift Patterns: 22.5 hrs a Week, Part time, Permanent

Information about the Role:

Working as General Maintenance in Waterloo Manor Hospital your duties will include the following:

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
• Using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

Ward Driver (Hospital van onsite)

• To assist with patients leaves both to the community and for routine/emergency medical appointments.
• To collect/deliver on behalf of Waterloo Manor.
• To work closely with other drivers and the maintenance team.
• To work with a book system and liaising with the relevant wards and departments.
• Have good time management skills.
• To always complete the necessary documentation regarding the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To work inline with job description and inmind policies and procedures
• To offer flexibility with the needs of the business.

Information about the Service:

The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdom that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

Someone who has a real passion for maintenance and high-quality work.

• Proven maintenance experience.
• Must be a Driver with a Current and Valid Driving License and have a fully reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
• Have the right to the work in the UK.
• Good working knowledge of industry legislation and safe practices.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
