We are seeking a skilled, Maintenance Technician with experience of working in a busy engineering establishment with CNC machinery. 

Job Purpose:
As the Maintenance Technician you will play a key role in supporting our maintenance department ensuring our machines, equipment, and facility are well maintained and able to keep pace with production.  
In addition providing hands-on support to the Maintenance Engineers for CNC machine repairs and factory maintenance, your responsibilities will also encompass desk-based tasks such as liaising with suppliers, organising testing, servicing and certification of our machinery and equipment.  
To be successful you must have prior experience of the above within an engineering business and understand CNC machinery. 

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Maintenance Engineers with the repair and upkeep of our CNC Machinery (Turning, Milling and Grinding Machines), factory equipment and facilities.
  • Organise and co-ordinate the testing, certification and servicing of machinery, equipment, fixtures, appliances and utilities. 
  • Liaise with service companies regarding PPMs and co-ordinate sub-contractors when on-site,
  • Maintain records and schedules and complete any follow up actions, 
  • Process requisitions for replacement parts and spares through the MRP system and liaise with suppliers for speedy delivery,
Requirements:  
  • Mechanical skills with a bias to CNC machinery (metal cutting), electrical would be advantageous,
  • Recognised mechanical or electrical qualification (apprenticeship, BTEC, City & Guilds NVQ level) or time-served equivalent. 
  • Good organisation and planning skills, as well as good people skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to converse on technical matters relating to parts,  repairs and  services required.
  • Proficient at reading engineering drawings and schematics, 
  • Previously used an MRP system, and conversant with Word, Excel and Email.  
Salary & Benefits:
  • Annual salary £33,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
  • 38 hr 20 min week on rotating shifts (earlies & days)

Week 1: Mon – Thurs 05:45-14:10, Fri 05:45-11:45
             Week 2: Mon – Thurs 09:35-18:00, Fri 09:00-15:00
