A leading and award-winning Build-to-Rent company with a number of BTR sites across the UK is recruiting a Maintenance Technician. The company is rapidly expanding with new BTR schemes launching throughout 2024. This role offers £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The role:
The Maintenance Technician will be based on a high-end BTR development in Glasgow City Centre. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day checks, repairs and maintenance for the apartments and communal spaces.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include:

  • Diagnose, repair and resolve issues in apartments. For example, fixing appliances, painting, joinery, repairs etc.
  • Manage maintenance requests from residents using CRM system.
  • Liaise with residents to keep them updated on progress.
  • Assist the General Manager with the handover, including snagging.
  • Ensure the building and communal areas are clean.
  • Move furniture between apartments as required.
  • Ensure the building and plant rooms comply to h&s.
  • Report and deal with any compliance issues.
  • Work alongside the Block Manager to facilitate PPM visits.
  • Conduct apartment checks.
  • Lead on sourcing and managing relationships with contractors.
  • Manage on site contractors and sign off completed works.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to residents at all times.

The person:

  • Technical knowledge and previous experience of residential repair.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Highly organised.
  • Previous experience in residential or hospitality sectors would be advantageous .
