We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the Paint Plant, based at our site in Newburn.

This vacancy is required on our night shift. The working hours are Monday to Wednesday 19:45 to 05:45 and Thursday 19:45 to 04:45.

We are looking for an individual who can work to the best practices both individually and as part of a small team of multi skilled technicians, maintaining all plant equipment and buildings on site, utilising a computerised PPM system.

You will be confident in semi- auto processes, working within a paint plant and with powder coating.

The successful candidates must have a full understanding of safe systems of work, demonstrating they can take reasonable care of their own health and safety, and that of others.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to dynamic breakdowns of all services, tools and machinery.
  • Installation of modifications and project work.
  • Cooperation/ integration with other departments is required to maintain and support the facility and continue with ongoing improvements, whilst ensuring all QCD deliverables are achieved.
  • Work to demonstrated timings and seek to improve.
  • Achieve required quality standards.
  • Pro-actively participate in continuous improvement.
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve processes and services .
  • Maintain housekeeping to established standards.
  • Comply with manual handling recommendations when required.
  • Replace equipment / tools in the appropriate position after use
  • Ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with Safe Systems of Work.
  • Ensure all relevant daily reporting is completed and accurate.
  • Respond to Out of Box feedback from installers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of PPM System
  • Able to work as an individual and as part of a team. Working on rotating shifts.
  • Experience of working in a fabrication welding environment
  • Experience of installation, inspection and testing
