Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £44,000 per annum (with performance-related pay increases)
Benefits: 7% bonus, Bupa, PHI, Life assurance

Are you a motivated and customer-focused maintenance technician with electrical expertise? Our client, a prominent player in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join their team in Gloucestershire.

Job Description:

Purpose of the Role: The Maintenance Technician's primary focus is to ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct preventative maintenance, and maintain high equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise health and safety in all tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns, communicate effectively, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain high equipment availability levels
  • Manage contractors and critical spare parts inventory
  • Provide general production support and maintain electronic records
  • Perform repairs to building infrastructure and create maintenance lists for new installations
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure food safety and partner safety

Experience Required:

  • Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with an electrical bias
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance systems
  • Proficient in fault finding on Siemens PLCs and automated systems
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Experience in conveyor maintenance, motor controllers, high voltage switching, and building equipment maintenance

Essential Requirements:

  • Engineering Apprentice Trained
  • HNC or equivalent qualification

Desirable Requirements:

  • Welding experience
  • Siemens PLC fault finding skills
  • Mechanical and electro-pneumatic experience
  • FMCG or food industry experience
