Castlefield Recruitment are working with a large Non for Profit Organisation who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis in Slough/Maidenhead.

Maintenance Technician (Combustion / Gas) – Non for Profit Organisation – About The Role:

Main purpose

The key function of the role is to support in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the varies sites, to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.

• Maintain all gas heating equipment, involving servicing, reactive maintenance and PPM routines as instructed.
• Ensure that qualifications to undertake gas work are appropriate to the work being carried out and are maintained in-date
• Undertake gas work safely in compliance with gas-safe standards across the sites
• Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times
• Undertake routine repairs or minor works including joinery, painting and decoration, general building works, ground works or general plumbing
• Support the Projects/Construction team and Team Leader in delivering minor capital works to NHS premises.
• Complete suitable risk assessments prior to undertaking works, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and undertake works as per instructions within any relevant permit or work plan
• Required to provide day-to-day supervision of maintenance assistants

Maintenance Technician (Combustion / Gas) – Non for Profit – What You Need:

• NVQ Level 3 or higher BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent
• Relevent Gas Safe Qualification
• Formal apprenticeship or craft trained equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence
