Maintenance Team Leader

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer based in Sheffield to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader.

• £40-48k depending on experience.
• Days based - Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm

Our client is looking for someone who has a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment effectively, is proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals and has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. 

Duties of the Maintenance Team Leader will include:

• Hands-on with breakdowns and PPMs daily 
• managing contractors and project work
• Perform routine Maintenance checks on Plant machinery, including, cleaning, lubrication and replacement of parts.
• Adherence to BRC regulations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule
• Collaborate with Production to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruption to schedules.
• Ensure all breakdowns are rectified as effectively and efficiently as possible
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used and equipment condition
• Implement improvements to reduce the level of breakdowns using lean improvement methodologies
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
• Work with suppliers to improve the mean time between failure of parts (MTBF)
• Management of spare parts and the engineering stores.
• Help develop new maintenance programs to improve operational efficiencies
• Installation of new equipment
• Training other members of staff to ensure skills are transferred across all operations

We would like to speak with Maintenance Team Leaders with the following:

• Must be electrically qualified with NVQ Level 3 as a minimum 
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician preferably in a manufacturing environment with injection moulding equipment
• Strong maintenance background 
• Team leading experience
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced team orientated environment
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime to support business requirements
