We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative with a passion for making a difference to others. Your primary duty is to ensure that our patients are within a hospital that is a safe environment and that adheres to health and safety standards, going beyond the day-to-day and making it a home from home for the patients under our care.

Your day-to-day activities are to...

  • Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
  • Maintaining the hospital and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team on long term maintenance plan
  • Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
  • Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order
  • Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazards
  • Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
  • Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.
  • Liaises with local contractors on site, as required, providing local knowledge and guidance, in order that planned and preventative maintenance schedules can be completed in a timely fashion.
  • PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) Checks

You are...

  • Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving license
  • Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
  • Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
  • Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance
  • Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £25,000

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
