Maintenance Manager - Oldham - Up to £65,000 - FMCG

My Oldham based FMCG client are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join them on a permanent full-time basis reporting into the Engineering Manager.

The role of the Maintenance Manager position is to ensure the continuous operation of the plant machine and equipment on the site.

This will include:

  • Effectively planning and executing planned maintenance, line improvements and project work with formal recording/reporting.
  • Coordinating and implementing improvements in collaboration with production staff, electro mechanics and automation technicians to ensure optimum operation of the machinery.
  • Manage technical services and machinery and equipment on site including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting 4 direct reports
  • Working effectively within budget - Prepare a cost plan for fleet maintenance, inventory buffer, and training.
  • Strong Communication - communicate at all levels clearly, listens and involves others in setting direction and agreeing on goals.
  • Leadership - provide vision and direction, inspires others to follow direction. Take responsibility for engaging, enabling and motivating others.
  • Meeting Customer Expectations - Understand the needs to identify the needs of internal and external customers.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Higher education - technical faculty, preferably in the area of Automatics, Mechanics, Electro technicians
  • Technical knowledge of automation, mechanics, electro technicians, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Skills of continuous improvement and root cause analysis
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position in the FMCG industry
  • Knowledge of legal regulations
  • Knowledge of plant machinery and technology used on site, their operation and maintenance
