Maintenance Engineer

Swift Specialist Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Engineer for one of our most prestigious Manufacturing clients based in Preston.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
• Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required.
• Operation of CMMS system.
• Completion of PPMs.
• Liaise with supplier reps.
• Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
• Understand and comply with 'lockouttagout’ procedures, COMAHetc.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by the department manager.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering
• Knowledge of FMCGs machinery
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a general engineering role
