Maintenance Engineer

Southend

Salary- Competitive DOE Circa £35k

Monday-Friday double days.

The company:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in between Basildon and Southend who are looking for a Maintenance engineer to join their team.
The company is looking for a multi-skilled or mechanically biased engineer with manufacturing experience and will consider both junior and senior engineers.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Carrying out reactive, preventative, and planned maintenance
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
• Identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.

Skills and Experience required:

• Relevant engineering qualifications (City and Guilds preferred)
• Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to manage your own time and responsibilities.
