Maintenance Engineer
Location: Wales
Salary £31,287 - £33,405 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

Meridian Business Support are proud to be working with a state-of-the-art College based in Wales.  They need an experienced, qualified Maintenance Engineer to assess and deliver Maintenance Engineering courses to their students and access their work.   

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have experience of maintenance of industry equipment and production lines such as machines and tools, gear boxes, conveyors, motors, PLCs, fluid power.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Engineer
  • Develop and deliver work-based training and assessment programmes in electrical engineering.
  • Engineering maintenance assessors will assess and deliver courses in maintenance of industry equipment and production lines such as machines and tools, gear boxes, conveyors, motors, PLCs, fluid power experience would be ideal.
  • Cultivate new local and regional business relationships to expand work-based learning activities.
  • Maintain a personal caseload in line with business objectives.
  • Work under the direction of the electrical engineering coordinator.
  • Promote the College's strategic plan and values, driving change and enterprise.
  • Conduct health and safety pre-placement audits and ongoing workplace monitoring.
  • Participate in recruitment, initial assessment, and induction processes.
  • Monitor learner progress and performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Participate in internal verification processes within your area of expertise.
  • Ensure learners are registered for appropriate qualifications and complete them within allocated timeframes.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Engineering maintenance assessors will assess and deliver courses in maintenance of industry equipment and production lines such as machines and tools, gear boxes, conveyors, motors, PLCs, fluid power experience would be ideal.
  • Appropriate Verifier qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or assessing in a relevant discipline.
  • Level 1 Welsh language skills or willingness to complete required training.
  • Proven track record of working in a relevant industry.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
