Role: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £36,000 to £40,000 per annum

Hours: Panamar Shift Pattern, 12 hour shifts, 2 weeks on days and 4 weeks on nights

Location: Commutable from Fareham, Southampton, Ringwood, Winchester, Eastleigh, Ringwood, Portsmouth and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large, new and modern industrial company at one of their leading factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast faced environment. Working within this large company you will have plenty of scope and opportunities to progress your career, up-skill and gain further qualifications - should this interest you. They have internal and external training to help people grow in such areas like management training, electrical training, mechanical training, and more.

It is a multi skilled environment, however either bias, including those who are pure mechanical or pure electrical who want to cross skill and be helped and supported to do so, this is the right chance and opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory, and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side, whether this be mechanical or electrical.

You will benefit from a modern and clean environment backed by a large company who invest in their Engineers.

Production machinery runs from 7am until 11pm, and the shift pattern listed provides Engineers to work re-actively during the days combating breakdowns and machinery problems, and in the evening (night shift), working through planned preventative maintenance and project work.

Requirements

Maintenance or Service background in a similar environment, such as industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.
Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering qualification
Some/ANY of the following experience; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
Good fault-finding skills
Friendly and adaptable working attitude
Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
