Maintenance Engineer, Plumbing and Heating

As a Maintenance Engineer Mechanical you will specialise in plumbing and heating to manage and maintain these services and systems at our offices in Stoke-on-Trent and other sites within the property portfolio.

You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer working in a variety of large commercial and residential buildings, working as part of a small team within the Facilities and Services function. You will support the continued growth of the operation by delivering on reactive and planned works. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a can do attitude

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ level 3 certificate in Mechanical Engineering Services Plumbing.
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (Gas Fired Water & Central Heating Appliances) 600/1134/8 (6189-33).
• CENWAT Certification.
• CCN 1 (Domestic) Gas Safe Certificate.
• DNCO1 - Domestic to Commercial Natural Gas.
• Certified in Unvented Heating systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting installations, fault finding, and repairs.
• Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with electronic test equipment.
• Ability to follow work instructions, read and interpret technical diagrams whilst reporting technical information as required.
• Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
• C&G2079 Refrigerant handling category 1 and a CSCS card

Main Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance routines.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide variety of plant including Water Heaters, Calorifier’s, Motors, Circulating Heating pumps, Vented & Unvented Systems, Boilers, fans, drives, ground and air source heating systems. Additional responsibilities for Water temperature monitoring
• Ensuring all Health and Safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team.
• Knowledge of LEV systems is beneficial.
• Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean manner at all times.
• Producing, managing and maintaining critical spares lists.
