Maintenance Electrician

Job Role: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Sheffield

Shifts: 2 weeks of days, 1 week of afternoons

Salary: £35,500 per annum

Metalis are working with a prestigious and well established company who have sites across the UK, they work within the heavy engineering industry manufacturing components for a wide range of different industries.

Job Duties:

• Respond to breakdowns on plant machinery and equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical support within the team.
• Be proficient in fault diagnosis on a range of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical systems.
• Able to follow current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

Job Requirements:

• Apprentice trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
• Have at least 5 years worth of experience within an electrician or electrical maintenance role.
• Experience in control panel building.
• Capable of reading electrical engineering drawings.
• Must hold 18th edition wiring regulations.

Salary & Shift:

• Two weeks of days (6-1:30) and one week of afternoons (1:30-9pm with an early finish on a Friday)
• Salary of £35,500 including shift allowance
• Overtime paid at a premium rate
