Electrical Maintenance Engineer

£32,000 - £36.000 per annum + standby allowance + overtime

If you are an experienced electrician with a background in commercial electrical maintenance, then this could be ideal for you!

This role could suit someone with electrical maintenance experience from a manufacturing, industrial, commercial or utilities background who is looking to progress their career with one of the major utilities’ companies.

Role responsibilities

Take ownership of fault finding, repairing, and maintaining assets across different sites

Carry out planned work from maintenance schedules on operational assets.

Provide high-standard services in a sustainable manner that meets internal and external customer service levels, minimises risk to compliance, and meets quality requirements.

Utilise experience in executing permanent asset preservation techniques, identifying assets requiring repair, preventing future faults, and recommending planned maintenance.

Deliver quality support using expertise in electrical, control, and process systems to maintain or minimise risk and impact to customers.

Work collaboratively in a mobile field team.

Compile or update site engineering documentation.

Adhere to current ISO, H&S systems, procedures, and policies.

Undertake training for technical skills and Health and Safety awareness improvement.

Qualifications and experience

Time-served apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications e.g., City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND.

Compliant with current IEE Regs 18th Edition.

City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10.

A full UK driving license.

Industrial/Commercial experience.

Experience with VSDs, soft starts, and motor control systems.

Understanding of Wiring Diagrams.

Knowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Good working knowledge of LV systems.
