Machinist Technician

Our client based in Wrexham is currently looking to add a Machinist Technician to their team on a permanent basis

Duties to include:

• Machine a variety of test coupons from panels in preparation for mechanical testing.
• Undertake related activities including specimen measurement, tab bonding & strain gauging.
• Fabricate a variety of adhesive and composite test panels/specimens using autoclave, RTM & VBO processes.
• Maintain a high-level of HSE standards/procedures.
• Assure all data is entered accurately in company documentation and systems.

What we are looking for in the candidate:

• Expereince working at an industrial/technology company.
• Experience in composite lamination and fabrication processes (Autoclave/RTM/VBO).
• Experience in paste and/or film adhesive test panel fabrication.
• Experience operating cutting & machining equipment such as Ultrasonic Cutter, CNC grinder, Vertical Mill Centre, Water Jet Cutter & Composite Plate Saw.
• Knowledge of composite ply cutting, laminating, fabrication & machining processes.
