Machine Technician Manufacturing

Job Title: Machine Technician (Manufacturing sector)
Location: Cumbernauld, Glasgow
Job Type: Permanent/Full time - 38 Hours per week (Including breaks)
(Annual hours contract that requires flexibility on hours - This can be explained at interview), Core hours Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 16:00 , there will also be requirements to work 06:00 - 14:00 on a Friday as required.
Salary: £27,664 per annum

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the safe operation of relevant machinery in keeping with company procedures and to the satisfaction of the supervisor/management.
Keep machines operating to the highest possible standard to minimise downtime and waste to a minimum whilst keeping in line with the companies training procedures ensuring safe working at all times.

Duties Include:

• To run the machinery and maintain high levels of performance, safety standards and housekeeping
• Achievement of production plan and associated customer commitments in conjunction with team leaders and production
• Loading on materials and consumables (glue/board/wraps)
• Correct consumption of materials in accordance with procedures to ensure stock accuracy.
• Correct use of systems to facilitate appropriate processes and accurate record keeping in line with production procedures
• Carry out companies preventive maintenance plan for given machinery, including daily and weekly tasks
• Responsible for the Daily start up and wash down procedures being carried out ensuring machines are ready for production start on time
• Communicate effectively and support production teams and team leaders to achieve the plan
• Endeavour to keep waste levels to an absolute minimum and continually work towards reducing
• Comply with any other reasonable request made by management
