Machine Operative

The Company

• MTrec are currently recruiting for a specialist firm based in the Consett area. These roles are for long term and will be offered a permanent position after a completion of a successful trial period.

The Role

• Attend pre shift team briefings, highlighting issues and discussing targets
• Overviewing various machinery, ensuring smooth running
• Basic machine setting, placing items onto machine throughout the day
• Cutting and grinding duties, basic hand tool experience
• Manual handling and heavy lifting duties
• Overviewing machinery, basic tool and setting changes
• Hand assembly duties on items throughout the day, able to follow engineering diagrams
• Support production lines, carry out production and assembly duties
• Carry out visual quality inspection on items, checking product for any issues and faults
• Manual handling throughout the day, collecting parts from stores
• General housekeeping duties, keeping workspace clean and tidy

• Excellent attitude and attendance required in order to gain a permanent contract

• £11.66ph rising after training is complete

• 07:00am - 16:00pm
• 16:00pm - 02:00am
