M&E Commercial Manager

Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager from an MEP background to effectively manage Cost Teams for our client, a well established and vastly expanding M&E contractor.

Sample duties will include:

- Review Tender documentation and contract negotiations for submittal

- Review and analyse project costs

- Valuations and Progress Claims

- Ensure governance is followed in terms of type of Contract including JCT & NEC 3 and adhere to terms and conditions as well as guide the Operations team

- Reporting of fiscal data on projects to stakeholders

- Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and prevent budget overruns.

-Correlate spend reports and present to the Board

- Ensure all activities and documentation adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Explore opportunities to enhance current procedures and implement new processes

- Responsible for the supply chain and management of the on going sub contractor agreements

- Manage the monthly applications and raise any early warning notices and compensation events as required

- Manage any cost adjustments and Change Requests

- Analysis of budgets and estimating changes where necessary

- Attend any site and client meetings as required

Skills and Qualifications:

- A minimum of 5 years experience

- ONC, HNC, BSC or similar in Quantity Surveying or Construction

- Experience within a M&E Contractor/sub-contractor or a Tier 1 Main Contractor

- Strong knowledge of MEP systems

- MCIOB desirable
