M&A Associate opportunity within a growing UK mid-market M&A specialist offering exposure to a variety of transactions involving PE and Trade clients, career progression, excellent benefits and above market compensation.

THE COMPANY

This established growing M&A / Corporate Finance Advisory firm operates across the UK and Northern Europe and has a superb track record of transacting at mid-market level (£10m - £100m EV) across Technology, Business Services, Industrials, Healthcare / Pharmaceuticals and Financial Services. The firm is expanding its Manchester office with the appointment of an ambitious M&A Associate.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Joining the Manchester / Northwest team as an M&A Associate you will play a key role in executing M&A transactions, supporting Managers and Directors by taking responsibility for a range of important duties on each deal.

As an M&A Associate your responsibilities will include

• Conducting company and market research and analysis
• Preparing business valuations and key documents including Information Memoranda and financial forecasts
• Supporting on pitches and deal bids
• Approaching and meeting potential buyers and sellers,
• Assisting in the project management of M&A transactions
• Supporting Lead Advisory negotiations and the management of transactions through to completion
• Liaising regularly with clients during deal processes to maintain momentum
• Building a network with Accountants, Private Equity Investors, Lawyers and Funders

THE PERSON

You will be a Corporate Finance Advisory professional able to demonstrate the following:

• Graduate (Bachelors or Masters Degree)
• Background in a financial discipline (Banking, Corporate Finance, Accountancy Practice etc - at least 2 years)
• Possibly some experience within an M&A / Corporate Finance role
• Good commercial skills and insight, strong communicator
• A strong desire to develop your career Director within an established M&A / Corporate Finance boutique
