Social Worker - Looked After Children

Location: Leeds

Rate: £35 umbrella

Hours: 37 Per week

Start: ASAP

Hybrid working available.

Childrens Social Workers are required to work within the 13+ Children Looked After Teams in Leeds

The Childrens Social Workers will primarily work with young people aged 13yrs and above who are subject to Full Care Orders or S 20 arrangements.

Essential Experience:

  • working with Children looked After
  • a good understating of your statutory responsibilities.
  • working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking children (UASCs)
  • experience of completing Brief enquiries and Age assessments.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • LAC Experience
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
