London Tax Associate

This renowned legal firm are currently seeking a UK qualified Tax Lawyer to bolster their tax practice in the London office.

This role will involve actively contributing to M&A transactions, venture capital financing, international business structuring for globally mobile clients, UK/US advisory services in tandem with the firm's US tax practice, and funds tax matters.

The ideal candidate will possess a flexible mindset and intricate tax challenges with their adept communication skills. They should also have the ability to articulate tax issues at various levels, ranging from commercial discussions with investors and founders to in-depth technical exchanges with internal tax team members.

• The clientele spans the entire spectrum of development, from nascent startups to multinational corporations worth billions, alongside the venture firms, private equity entities, and investment banks that support and counsel them.
• The London office has been dedicated to delivering Silicon Valley-style business and legal guidance to tech companies across the UK and Europe.
• With a focus on facilitating the growth of these enterprises, the team offers extensive international experience, assisting in every aspect from inception and expansion to capital acquisition and strategic exits, particularly emphasizing US expansion, fundraising, or exit strategies for UK and European tech entities.

Requirements:

• UK qualified, possessing or eligible for a valid Solicitors’ Practicing Certificate.
• 2-6 years PQE, boasting excellent academic credentials and substantial relevant experience in corporate tax, including international tax matters, acquired through employment in a law firm, accounting firm, or in-house setting.
• Demonstrable dedication to and relevant experience in tax advisory work, in addition to transactional support.
• Familiarity with tax issues pertinent to growth companies is advantageous but not mandatory, provided the candidate demonstrates a keen interest in and commitment to this sector.
• Knowledge of UK/US cross-border tax issues for corporate groups is beneficial, although candidates can receive support for further development upon joining.
