We are actively looking to engage graduates with a passion for the logistics, planning and analytics sector for a role as a Logistics & Planning Graduate in our Nottinghamshire office!

Client Details

Our client is a market leader in the 3PL logistics sector specialising in sub-contracted transport & warehousing solutions. Our client operates a host of around 3,500 HGV & LGV vehicles across 104 sites within the UK. The business turnover in excess of 800+ million per annum and are displaying a 6% YoY growth!

Description

As a Logistics & Planning Graduate you will be joining a team of Planning Analysts, reporting into the Transport & Planning Manager. You will be responsible for the following areas in the Nottinghamshire office:

  • Utilising transport planning and scenario modelling software, plan transport routes for the UK distribution network.
  • Planning and highlighting efficiency opportunities will be identified across both the final mile network and the primary network linking our central picking operations to our distribution centres across the UK.
  • You will execute a plan of periodic reviews of the routes to ensure they are delivering maximum service in the most efficient way.
  • Maintain a model of the existing routes across the network, making sure all data is kept as accurate and up to date as possible
  • Review the allocation of customers to distribution sites
  • Maintaining high levels of service and efficiency by carrying out route review activity in accordance with the optimisation plan, ensuring customer constraints and company operational standards are adhered to
  • Work closely with local transport leader to drive efficiency project across the UK transport operation - identifying saving and cost efficiency's.

Profile

The successful Logistics & Planning Graduate will first & foremost have a passion to join the Logistics & Supply Chain sectors, along with the following extra attributes:

  • A Degree (2:2 minimum) - ideally within a Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Focus
  • Work experience around the logistics & supply chain sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • A flair for providing high levels of engagement and transport planning & analytics.
  • The ability to commute to Nottinghamshire on a hybrid basis.
