Our client based in Thame are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team. The company are focused on building and developing relationships with local stakeholders and ensuring they match supply to demand.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be supporting the team in coordinating collections, liaising with clients and customers and completing stock checks.

The hours of work will consist of 40 hours per week, 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday.

Key duties:

  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Communicate frequently with stakeholders to organise stock management.
  • Maintain contact with customers on a regular basis to allow deliveries to be made on time and in full.
  • Negotiate with hauliers to minimise contract costs.
  • Book deliveries.
  • Provide updates on estimated arrival times and schedules to customers and suppliers.
  • Conduct quality and stock checks.
  • Coordinate contract balances and check them weekly
  • Work closely with the operations team and other departments to support project completion.

You must:

  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be highly accurate and show a detail-oriented approach with strong numeracy skills.
  • Work well under pressure, both in a team and individually.
  • Take responsibility for your work.
  • Display good planning skills and coordination.
  • Be comfortable and able to efficiently negotiate.
  • Demonstrate organisation skills.

Previous experience within transport, haulage, logistics or scheduling and understanding of FOSFA and AIC would be seen as advantageous for this position.

Offering £24,000-£28,000 per annum dependent on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and an annual discretionary bonus, this is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual.
