Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for multiple Hostel Bank Staff to join our team at Lucy Adams House! Your role is to ensure the safety and security of the Project, colleagues, visitors and residents within the Lucy Adams service. You will be required to assist the Management Team and Support Workers to deliver support to residents and administration to help residents towards independent living. You will work closely with Support Workers to respond appropriately to resident's day to day needs and manage the needs of the 24 hour hostel building.

Please note this role is on a zero hour contract.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Carrying out checks on residents to ensure their safety and the security of the building and its visitors, monitoring activity in the hostel via CCTV, and ensuring access is only given to residents and authorised personnel
  • Ensuring the rules of the hostel are adhered to by residents and when they fail to do so highlighting this with the Management and Support Team for appropriate action
  • Assisting with the preparation of rooms for re-letting
  • Assisting the Management team and Support Workers to help develop residents social and life skills
  • To monitor and manage through relevant systems any stored or stock items as required in adherence to good housekeeping

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of importance of confidentiality and data protection
  • Knowledge of issues leading to homelessness
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new IT systems
  • Experience in relating effectively with individuals in an empathetic way
  • A desire to work with individuals to progress independent living skills
  • Demonstrate resilience, flexibility and adaptability

Benefits

In return, we are offering...

  • An hourly rate of £11.06 up to £28.16 (dependent on the shift/hours worked)
  • This role is on a 0 hour contract
